New Shop Space!

After a several years working from my home shop I've moved into a larger leased space.  It feels wonderful to have the extra room, I can finally store extra inventory, hold stacks of plywood, and stock more sizes of shipping boxes.  It feels like really living.   It also comes with some benefits that I didn't have at my residence, the ability to accept commercial deliveries.

In the past if a company agreed at all to deliver to my residence I would meet the semi-truck out on the road with my pickup and we'd sort of transfer from the big truck to my little truck bed.  It was silly and cumbersome but got the job done.  Now they can just pull up in front of my space and dolly the goods right into my unit.  Super civilized and way less exciting than before.

ALSO, big quality of life improvement, UPS can now pick up shipments from my unit.  This is amazing in the winter as it's quite wet here in the northwest all winter long.  In the summer at my residence I would sometimes leave a stack of parcels near the mailbox for pickup, but it's not possible in all the rain. So to have a stable dry place for UPS to pick up is really wonderful.

Last thing, in the new space I have a dedicated paint booth.  It's just a plastic'd off space upstairs, but still a massive improvement over the previous canvas carport I was using before.  It's much cleaner and warmer and a joy to use.

So you can see I'm really basking in the glow of all this new space and the possibilities that it offers.  Looking forward to more creativity and new pieces soon!

Isaac
