Hex Modern Nightstand
Made to order. Currently 3 weeks prior to ship.
A modern Scandinavian nightstand made locally in my shop in Portland, OR.
This is a variation of my original Chev nightstand, this has a hex pattern milled through the door so you can get glimpses of the contents of the cabinet. There's no specific hand cutout on this, just grasp any hole to open it. This is a little more expensive because the door takes longer for me to make due to the detail.
This would make a really nice storage cabinet for vinyl records since you can see the contents behind the pattern cutout. If you have smaller items to store it has a half shelf inside which is removable.
While there's no obvious left or right unit, the door hinge is on the right for a LH (LH grasp) and the opposite for the right. If you would like a set of two I'll include one left and one right unit unless you instruct otherwise.
The outside dimensions of the box portion are 15" wide, x 15" deep, x 15" high. The legs sit 6" high. Total assembled height is 21".
The inside dimensions are 14"x14"x14". The shelf sits at 7" off the bottom.
The door hinge has a small adjustment slot for in case you need to fine tune the door gap.
Made from sustainable baltic birch plywood and finished with linseed oil and beeswax. They are almost fully assembled, I ask that you install the legs which requires inserting four screws with a slot headed screwdriver or butter knife.
I only ship in all paper and cardboard packaging to reduce my environmental impact.
